On Anatrans premises, our cashew factory in Bobo-Dioualasso (Burkina Faso), some space has been reserved for child care. In the factory, many women are working and they arrange amongst themselves who takes care of their children between 0 and 4 years of age. They have been doing for a long time without proper infrastructure. This means children can wander around the factory premises, there is little protection from the sun and minimal sanitary facilities. WBF has committed to support the building of a roof/cover, fencing for the children’s safety and the provision of proper sanitary facilities. Lastly, WBF will also provide trees and playground equipment.
